Where Irish Tradition
Meets Japanese Elegance
Just a short drive from Brielle House, the Irish National Stud & Japanese Gardens offer a unique day out where two worlds come together — the power and grace of thoroughbred horses, and the peace and symbolism of Japanese landscape design.
The Irish National Stud is a working stud farm, home to some of Ireland’s finest racehorses. Visitors can explore the grounds, meet the horses, and discover the legacy of Irish equine excellence. Adjacent to the stud lies the world-renowned Japanese Gardens, designed by Tassa and Minoru Eida between 1906 and 1910. These carefully curated gardens symbolically represent the journey of life, with winding paths, stepping stones, and serene water features that invite quiet reflection.
Also on-site is St. Fiachra’s Garden — a tranquil, more naturalistic space celebrating the spirituality of the Irish landscape — as well as the immersive Irish Racehorse Experience, which brings the thrill of the track to life.
